matv helps elderly, disabled, and isolated people who may experience difficulty using public transport to attend doctors, hospital and other medical appointments. Journeys can be both local and further afield to Oban and Glasgow to attend appointments or treatments which are not available locally. Volunteer drivers give of their own time and use their own vehicle to transport clients to their appointments.

Beneficiaries: 'Older People','People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: The object of the Group shall.be to provide relief to the inhabitants of Mid Argyll and it's environs who have need because of age, mental or physical disability, or poverty, and in particular, but not so as to limit the generality of the foregoing: (a) to provide and maintain non-profit community transport services. and (b) to assist in the charitable work of organisations and bodies engaged in promoting the relief of such persons through the provision of appropriate services.
