**What the charity does:** The Society aims to inform the public in the history of  the local area and about its characters and features. It also is involved in the provision of protection and maintenace  of the  Soutra Aisle and in the recording of the experiences of local people so helping to preserve and protect the heritage and traditions of Fala, Soutra and its surroundings

**Objectives:** The purpose and objects of the Society shall be to advance the education of the public in the history of and preserve and protect the heritage and traditions of Fala Soutra and its surrounding area by means of research, study and other related activities and in furtherance thereof: a) to publish information about the history of Fala Soutra and its surrounding area. and b) to promote or assist in the promotion of the discovery, protection, rehabilitation and maintenance of historical sites and buildings.
