Trustee recruitment and appointment
Trustees are generally recrutted from parents of Cadets and the local
community. They are appointed by the chairman and the Squadron
Commander. The post holders are reolected annually at the AGM.
Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes
Our purpose is to provide civilian support to Wing in its role to deliver a
range of activities across the geographical area of west Scotland on
behalf of the 26 member squadrons. Esl Scotland Wing is a unifomied
youth organisation which coordinates and delivers a wide range of
training experiences for young people with an interest in aviation, or the
RAF and its history. West Scotland Wing adopts the RAF Air Cadets Aims
as part of rts constitijtion. actively seeking to develop skills and qualities in
young people which will be usefvl in the future.
Summary of the main activities
in relation to these objects
The Wing SeeS to build upon the experience the Cadets receive at
squadron level. A wholly volunteer driven organisation. the Wing seeks to
create opportuntties for Staff and Cadets to come together for training and
the wder range of activities offered. which represents the values and
mission of the RAF Air Cadets.
