Families Outside is the only national charity in Scotland working exclusively on behalf of families affected by imprisonment. We speak to thousands of families each year, providing information and support on issues such as housing, finance, and emotional support.
Objectives: The company's objects are:- (1) To relieve poverty, hardship, suffering and distress among partners, children, families and dependants of persons who have suffered a legal restriction on their liberty in any penal or correctional establishment or through any means whatsoever (2) To advance education, and in particular to increase public awareness, understanding and knowledge of the impacts on partners, children, families and dependants of a partner or other family member suffering a restriction of liberty .
