We aim to promote Scottish Couintry Dancing and Music to adults and children. Adult classes are held weekly in a local Church Hall for 15 weeks in the year under the auspices of a remunerated qualified teacher. In November primary schools in East Ayrshire District are invited to send a class, P5 or over, to a Children's Day of Dance (CDoD) in a local venue in Stewarton or Cumnock , with live music, at the Branch's expense. Volunteers and Dance Teachers assist in preparing the children and their school teachers to learn the programme of dances. The Committee and Office Bearers meet regularly to plan and organise annual events and the affairs of the Branch. There is a Christmas Party in December and an Annual Dance in April with organised programmes of dances and music provided by professional musicians which are ticketed and to which other dancers are invited to attend. We associate with other local RSCDS Branches. A formal AGM is held in June.

Objectives: To preserve and further the practice of traditional Scottish Country Dances. To provide or assist in providing instruction in the dancing of Scottish Country Dances. To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and Music by any suitable means. Generally to do such other things as are or may be considered by the Local Association to further the foregoing objects of the Society in the district or area to which it relates.
