Charitable Purposes
The object of the charity is to hold the funds in Trnst and to rnake payments to rli¢v¢ pov¢rty, destrnction.
financial hardship, misery, neglect. suffering, disease, sickness, infinnity or mental or physical handicap.
The Trnst deed gives the Irustees the power to apply the funds wh¢ther by donation or otherwise to such
individuals, whethcr British subjects or not and whether resident in the United Kingdom or elsewhere- at
their sole discretion which they ¢onsideT appropriate for the furtherance of the purposes of the tNst.
Activities and achievements
The trustce ¢onsidcred various applications and agreed and paid donations to 20 registered charities. These
donations totalled £30,500. The trnstee was also advised by the stwkbrok¢rs in r¢lation to the
discretionary management of the investments and considered the reports provided in this regard.
Trustee remuneration and expenses
Legal costs for administering the trnst were paid to Mactaggart & Co. solicitors with which the TNstee has
a business connection. Mr. F.A.S. Duncan is a director.
Re$erve$
At the end of the year Mactaggart & Co. held a balance of £49,669.36 and Rathbones held a balance of
£8,432.31 ov¢r and above the portfolio valuation.

Independent Examiner'$ Report to the Trustees of Dr. Elizydbeth Anderson Calder Memorial Trust
I r¢port on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 05 April 2026 which are set out on pages 2 to 4.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
Th¢ charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the teTrnS of the
Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
Th¢ charity trustees consider that the audit rcqllirement of Regulation l O( l) (d) of the Accounts Regulations
does not apply. It is rny responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act
and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's statement
My examination is ¢arried out in accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Rcgulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. Ic also includes consideration of any unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do
not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

to ke¢p accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006
