Solway Sound has successfully distributed local news, notices and announcements in audio format to around 165 visually impaired people in Dumfries and Galloway, helping them to keep in touch with their immediate and wider communities. We provide listeners with USB recordings of the talking newspaper, USB players, training and technical support , all free of charge
Objectives: 2. Objects The object of the Association is to provide visually impaired people (or any person reading a newspaper or magazine difficult as a result of another incapacity or disability) with news and information from local newspapers and other reputable sources. This will audio format and delivered by digital storage device (eg USB stick), online or by any other suitable medium. The newspaper will be called 'Solway Sound'.
