**What the charity does:** The charity was set up to support Quakers and others to promote understanding of, and action for, peace, drawing on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends. We: - arrange meetings for our members to learn and to develop our understanding of current peace issues - run workshops and other events for Quakers and other members of the community - disseminate information and other resources, from printed literature to web-based content - collaborate with others, Quakers and non-Quakers, in developing joint activities that are consistent with our objectives. Our members are representatives of Quaker areas across the North of Britain – all of Scotland and the north of England – who set general priorities for the work. Trustees and working groups work with and support a small paid staff in delivering our work.
