## **Introduction**
This is the Annual Report of CSCEP for the financial year 2024-2025. It reports on the activities and services delivered during that period of time.
The group continued to carry on activities that promote good health and wellbeing. Activities were physical exercise, dancing to music and walking.
The physical exercises and dancing activities were delivered in Cambusbarron Community Centre in 2024 and early 2025. After such activities, hospitality services were in local restaurants in Stirling.
## **Funding sources**
## **1. Stirling Council (£876)**
This grant was used to support hospitality services so that members could organize lunches and refreshments in restaurants as well as trips.
## **2. Forth Valley Language (£2,000)**
This grant was used to pay for different kinds of training.
## **Governance and Organisation Structure**
The charity is an unincorporated association administered by Constitution approved in January 1996.
The Chairman will arrange two meetings a year plus an AGM to decide on the accounts, office bearers, membership fees and changes if required to the Constitution. Quorum is one third, and decisions approved by a simple majority. The office bearers have delegated authority to meet as required during the year to discharge duties to meet the aims and objectives of the charity.
## **Objectives and Activities**
The objectives of the Project shall be to promote the benefit of, further the health of, and advance the education of persons within Elderly Chinese Community in the area of benefit and to promote racial harmony within the wider community in Central Region. The Project shall have the power:

- To make existing services more appropriate and accessible to the Chinese Elderly People of over 55 years old living in the Central Region.
- To provide an advice, information and counselling service for the mentioned people
- To provide a lunch club and meeting place for the Chinese Elderly in order for them to socialise and integrate within the Chinese and wider community
- To provide a forum for discussion and establish a link
In years 2024 and 2025 CSCEP has continued to provide support and a range of activities to the Chinese Elderly people living in the Central Region. Health and wellbeing exercise activities which purposed to improve and promote better physical and mental health were organized.
Activities have been held were:
- Strength and Balance
- Scottish Dancing
- Line Dancing
- Health Walks
- Day Trips
- Lunches
As the average age of the members of the group is around 75, instead of cooking in the club house, CSCEP resulted in eating out right after each activity in Stirling in order to support local business as well.
Other Activities were:
- Chinese Mid-Autume Festival in September 2024
- Christmas in December at Forth Valley College in December 2024
- Chinese Lunar New Year in February 2025 at Loong Fung Restaurant in Glasgow

## **Independent Examiners Report Year ended 31 March 2025**
I report on the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 8 to 10.
## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**
The Association’s Treasurer is responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Association consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(a) to (c) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply.
## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement**
My examination includes a review if the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the Treasurer of the association concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given in the accounts.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with good financial practice has not been discharged.
2. Which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1. Funds**
The charity holds unrestricted funds which at its own discretion can be used to deliver the objectives stated in the Constitution. The charity has set up a fund designated for repairs to the organisations main venue (39a Bannockburn Road, Stirling). All fundraising undertaken by the charity is deposited in this separate bank account. The current balance is £524.
## **2. Grants**
No grants were paid out by the charity during the period of these accounts.
## **3. Trustee remuneration and expenses**
No remuneration or expenses was paid to any officer bearer or member during the period under review.
## **4. Transactions with trustees and connected persons**
There were no transactions between the charity and any person or business connected to a person associated with the charity (a connected person), for the year.
