We promote the education of the public in the history, heritage, traditions and music of the Clan Maclean by commemorating famous events in its history, erecting cairns on relevant sites. recording and publicising significant contributions of Macleans by installing memorial plaques. contributing to the restoration of important Clan associated buildings. acquiring, restoring and preserving books and manuscripts about distinguished Clan members and Clan history, and making them available to the public. producing publications, maintaining an educational website for the public in the history and traditions of the Clan. promoting other educational activities relating to its history and culture. funding a piping bursary for young Macleans. helping finance piping tuition and pipe bands in the Maclean clan lands. sponsoring competitions in the playing and composition of pipe music and in Gaelic singing.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: (FIRST) The Trustees shall payout of income or capital as they may decide the expenses of setting up and administering the Trust hereby created. (SECOND) The Trustees shall out of the Trust Fund meet all taxes and duties of every kind which may be chargeable at any time against or in respect of the capital or income of the Trust Fund or any part thereof, and for which the Trustees may be or may become liable. (THIRD) The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the free annual income thereof to pay or apply the same at such time or times and in such amounts as they may determine in their sole discretion for such purposes as are recognised to be charitable in law within the meaning of Section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 or any Act amending or replacing the same, but in particular and without prejudice to the foregoing generality, the purpose of promoting and advancing the education of the public in the history, traditions and music of the Clan Maclean (hereinafter referred to as 'the Clan')
