The charity acts as a local centre to further the work of the National Trust for Scotland by allowing members in our area to enjoy their membership fully by taking part in outings and activities and by helping to raise funds for NTS headquarters for ongoing projects. We also hope to encourage new members through hearing of the things in which we take part .

Objectives: The aim of the organisation shall be to act as a local centre for furthering the work of the National Trust for Scotland. In furtherance thereof: (a) To bring the aims and work of the National Trust to the notice of people in the Lanarkshire area. (b) To make membership of the National Trust more enjoyable and more effective. (c) To obtain new members for the National Trust and to raise money for its appeals.
