Charity Trustees 1. Mr G Docherty 2. Mr A Reid In the current year (2025-26) the number of trustees was increased as part of a strategy to strengthen the governance of the charity and introduce sighted persons, specifically to help with banking, finance and certain administrative tasks. The following trustees were appointed in February 2026 in accordance with the constitution and code of conduct (see htt s".Ilblind olfscotland.comlabout-uslb constitution-and-code-of-conduct). These trustees are listed on the OSCR page of the charity. 1 . Greg Docherty 2. Douglas Smith - normally sighted individual and primary contact. Doug has experience as a trustee on other charities, particularly in the finance areas. 3. Kris Adams 4. Allan Mustard Objectives and activities The objectives of the Society are to further the physical and mental health of all registered blind or partially sighted persons in Scotland to ameliorate their suffering and distress and to aid them in maintaining their handicaps, specifically by promoting and encouraging their participation in, and the playing of, the game of golf. This jus achieved by:_ 1. Maintaining and promoting a club for blind golf 2. Recruitment of sighted guides for players 3. Holding matches 4. Raising funds from subscriptions and grants 5. Participating in international golf tournaments. 6. Engage with other disabled persons charities such RNIB and building relationships with Scottish Golf s disabled golfing functions. 7. Support coaching of blind golfers with qualified professional golf instructors

1. Maintaining players handicaps Structure? governance and management The charity is fully operated by volunteers, there are no employees. There are two main documents which stipulate how the charity is managed and how members and officers of the company are expected to conduct themselves when representing the charity. Being operated by volunteers enables the charity to maximise the funds applied to the objectives and minimise overheads. The Charity is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Executive Committee which consists of the following individuals for the current year. Captain.. Greg Dochety {[e-mail]} Vice-caplain.. Cameron McDairmid (malchsecretary@blindgolfscolland.¢oml Events.. Kris Adams [e-mail]) John Gibb- Guiding Officer The majority of the committee are blind golfers. There are 2 fully sighted members, the secretary and the guiding officer (who manages the guides that assist golfers when playing). The fully sighted individuals are recruited via "Volunteering Scotland" and the others from the playing members. Executive Committee members are appointed at the AGM, which usually takes place in February each year. It is important to have at least 2 sighted members to ensure the charity can manage things such as online banking and online submissions to sites that are not "user friendly" for individuals with sight impairment.

Achievements and performance During the year to 31 October 2025 BGS has run a number of society specific event and competed in a UK wide event and an international event. On average we get around 14 Blind Golfers for our society events, the numbers are limited because many of the golf clubs who extend a friendly welcome to us only have 4-6 buggies. The buggies are essential to our golfers as walking over a golf course is not that easy when you are visually impaired. We have golfers from all over Scotland and our only female player (J'ust for now) travels from Shetland to play in our events. One of our golfers, who was blinded in an accident, has state that "playing golf has changed his life so much for the better" We keep an order of merit, with players earning qualifying points for each event they attend, and the top 8 are selected to represent Scotland at international events. Thornton GC June 2025 Shetland GC Strokeplay June 2025 Cardrona - British Blind Open July 2025 Bruntsfield GS July 2025 Drumoiog GC August 2025 Portlethen GC August 2025 The society's events are self-funded with the members paying a fee. We are immensely grateful to the golf clubs that host us, they subsidise the fees and allow us on the course knowing that our pace of play is much slower than an average golfer. In 2025 we secured a grant that enabled us to provide 15 golfers with personalised coaching with a qualified professional. This was greatly appreciated by the members involved. We are conscious that we are not growing as fast as we would like and over the next two years, we hope to double our membership and improve the percentage of female golfers. We also want to start to start to engage more with younger blind persons to take up golf. Our plan is to work in collaboration with Scottish Golf. Blind Veterans, Disabled Sport UK and the RNIB. This will mean targeted efforts at blind golfers but collaborative efforts with Scottish Golf and Disabled Sports UK. Blind Golfers are just one of many disabilities and both Scottish Golf and Blind Sports UK are looking at the whole disability offerings.

Financial review The year to 31 October 2025 resulted in a small surplus of approximately £3.8k Income £68.2K 257 15583 48586 Donations ll Grants • Others Expenses and Surplus 79 Charitable Éxpense5 Audir • Surplus Reserves Policy The Society self-funds most of its outings however the Strokeplay and International Events require additional funding. Each year we have managed to raise enough funds for this. However, the executive. Committee think it prudent to retain at least £10,000 to cover an entire

year, in the event that funds cannot be sourced. At the 31 October 2025 the Society had approximately £22k of reserves in unrestricted funds. The members, subscriptions and raffles finance the website fees, insurance and professional fees. There are no other material overheads as the volunteers operate from home and make no claims for expenses. There are no deficits and no donated facilities or services.

Future plans As alluded to above over the next 24 months we are seeking to grow in partnership with other organisations. This collaborative approach will secure access to funding we don't currently have access to. We also plan to hold our first world ranking event to encourage worldwide participation. The year to 31 October 2026 will mainly be strategy development with results coming in 2027.
