**What the charity does:** The Organisation’s charitable purposes for the public benefit are: (i) To combat social isolation by providing activities to encourage companionship in people over the age of fifty in West Lothian. (ii) To promote and enhance the physical, emotional and mental well-being of this group of people by providing social, educational and recreational activities. (iii) To provide these activities in a way that facilitates wide-spread take-up in towns and villages across the West Lothian area. (iv) To co-operate with other relevant bodies, agencies and organisations for the advancement of social welfare of the 50 plus age group. (v) To encourage the development of links between relevant organisations to share best practice, learn from others and maximise take-up of local support for the elderly in West Lothian.

**Objectives:** The objects of the organisation are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of West Lothian and in particular those who are 50+ by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and in the interests of social welfare, provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that the conditions of life of the aforementioned persons who are 50+ may be improved and in the furtherance thereof. a] To advance education through the development of 50+ Groups. b] To develop a range of activities which are social, educational and recreational. c] To assist with the co-ordination of 50+ activities across the area. d] To co-operate with all relevant bodies, agencies and organisations for the advancement of social welfare of the 50+ age group.  e]To encourage the development of links between organisations across the area.
