Act as stewards for Cashel Estate, promoting native woodland regeneration, peatland restoration and general education to the public on sustainable forestry

Objectives: (1) the advancement of education: (a) promote the existence, function and aims of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society to the general public. (b) promote the education of members of the public in forestry, nature and native woodland in Scotland, its management, development and uses. (2) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science: (a) establish, maintain, preserve and manage, in accordance with good silvicultural and ecological principles, forest land having principally Scottish native species and other indigenous flora and fauna. (b) support tourism and leisure, through the provision of forest trails, outdoor pursuits and sports, recreational activities, forest tours or in any other similar way. (3) the advancement of citizenship or community development: (a) conserve, regenerate and promote the restoration of Scotland's native woodlands as an important part of Scotland's natural environment for the benefit of the public. (b) promote public interest in and knowledge and appreciation of forest land, forestry and the use of forest products, so that members of the public may gain or increase their understanding, enjoyment and use of forest land and products in Scotland. (4) engage in all kinds of forestry work and to act as timber growers, and to buy, sell, plant, grow, fell, prepare and deal in timber and wood of all kinds and to buy, clear, plant and work forest land for the purposes of achieving the Company’s objects.
