This is due to the fertilizing, vertidraining and weed killing by the Shetland Islands Council Playing Field Maintenance staff, along with the attention of our part time groundsman, this ensures the playing field is maintained to a good standard for the local football club. This encourages them to maintain teams, in the Parish Cup, Reserve B League and Shetland ‘s Premier A League._ _The clubrooms are used by the Whitedale Youth Club and this encourages Youth development for both Primary and Secondary school age pupils. The Youth Club is run by the Shetland Islands Council, and use the premises one night per week. The clubhouse is also hired out for general use to the public._ ## **Financial Review** ## **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves:** _We hold cash at bank of £13,062.20 as at 31[st] March 2025, all unrestricted funds. We aim to hold at least £3000 and no more than £10000 in reserves at the year end. We have a large number of companies taking sponsored boards which is helping with income and a few still to come in which are in the agreement/production stage. We hope that in the future if we could get all 38 the clubhouse could be self funding._ ## **Details of any funds materially in deficit:** ## **Further financial review details (optional information):** ## **The charity’s principal source of funds:** - _Maintenance grant from the Shetland Islands Council up to a maximum £3000._ - _Lease rental from both Whitedale Youth and Football Clubs_ - _Lease rental from individuals_ - _We have received planning permission for sponsor boards around the perimeter of the playing field and hope to attract a minimum of 24 sponsors charging them £250 per year for rental of the space. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland} Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
