Structure Governance and Mana ement Constitution The RS- CCL Charity is an independent Unincorporated Association. It is governed by its constitution which was initially adopted on 31st March 1960 under the name of Marriage Guidance Lanarkshire. It thereafter became known as Relate Lanarkshire for the lasl 14 years it has operated under the name of RELATIONSHIPS SCOTLAND - COUPLE COUNSELLING LANARKSHIRE. The Constitution was last amended on 181 JUNE 2012 and the amended version was formally approved by OSCR in AUGUST 2012. olntment of Trustees The Management Committee Currently consists of 7 Trustees bul can be as many as 15. The 4 main Office bearers can serve for a p8riod of up to four years without re- election. The 3 Ordinary Committee members serve for one year only. The Trustees may CO•OPt otherTruslees as and when required. There were no additions or leavers during the year and attendance at the quarterly Management Committee me81ings is very high. On- going Management and co-ordination is carried out by key members of the Management Committee on a non-paid capaclty - mainly by the Servlce Manager helped by the Chalrmanrrrèasurer. By partial use of volunteerlsemi volunteer - counsellors, support staff, management resource and Scottish Govt. grants try to keep prices as low as possible in order to make our service affordable lo the widesl range of economic groupings- without jeopardising the RS-CCL SeNice viability To ensure our Counselling Slandards are maintained and that Relationships Scotland Quality Assurance requirements (every 3 years) are fully met. Support the current team of self-employed part time Counsellors with regular access to r8cognised group and individual Mentoring I Supervision specialists and Professional Development training as per RS. COSCA requirements Also ensure proper records and reports are kept offinances and day to day counselling activities and that there is a regular and timely return of such reports and information to the Management Committee, Relationships Scotland , our Independent Examiners IAccountant's and to OSCR. Achievements and Performanc We carried out around 1002 counselling sessions in this financial year using 6 qualified and highly experienced self-employed counsellors working part time between home and office as required. No. of sessions were down by 1981y8ar due mainly counsellor absence through illness. 1 additional experienced counsellor is re-joining RS-CCL which hopefully will help return our number of sessions carried out to 1300-1400 lyear lev61s These highly motivated counsellors continue to demonstrate their charltable ethos and accept £201hour for all sessions undertaken - a charge much Iow8r than their market value Our quality outcomes and feedback from clients continues to be very positive. We receive many cllents via recommendations from past Clients. RS-CCL hold an up to dale Quallty Assurance Certificat8 conducted and issued by Relationships Scotland. We are r8gistered with COSCA the GOVERNING BODY FOR COUNSELLING Flnancial Revlew RS-CCL generated a @ £ 58,000+ turnov8r and has a trading loss of £1,264 including £2552 interest from our savings account for the year 2024-25. The main sources of income was from Client DonationslFees -£34,698 and from Scottish Government Grants - £14,747. Expenditure was £61,551. Mainly staff wages, self-employed part tlme counsellor fees and admin costs. Bank balance at end of March 2025 is £58,552 Icurr8nt and savings accounts) RS-CCL curfenlly also employs - 3 part time pald office staff supporting the plt volunteer Service Manager. Staff are paid competitive rates on or above the recognised Living Wage lev81. The I0 eligible members of staff have Work Place Pensions. Wage admin continues to be handled by SCVO Relationships Scotland (RSI network ¢ontinues to receive crucial financial help mainly from th8 Scottish Govl. in line with their policy re Support for Families and in particular the vital role organisations like RS- CCL play in helping families in difficulty and avoiding the costly effecl of family break-up. We continue to have the generous support of NHS Lanarkshire who allow us the use of detached premises on their Airbles Road site, Motherwell- free ofcharge. The accommodation is well maintained, in good condition, has a central location and has excellent parking.
