Strueture Governance
In tem)s of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and th¢ Charities Accounts.
{SLOtland) Regulatioi)s 2006, the Vestry rewrts to Ihe congregation as follows.
l. St Kiardn Episcopal Church. Campbeltown is a registered Scottish Charity (SC023277).
2. It is a member of Ihe Dioccsc of Argyll & The Isles of the Scottish EpI￿0paI Church and is part
of the Worldwide Anglican Communion.
3. The superior authority is the Bishop of Argyll & I'he Isles
4. All of its affairs are governed by the Vesty.
Appointment of Vestry Member&
V¢%try members are elected at the Annual Meeting established by Constitution and under Canon
Law of the Scottish Episcopal Chur¢h. There is no fomial induction progratntne but ongoing
guidance is given to ensure thai Vestry members are familiar wilh the Church's values, aims and
responsibilities L8 the d¢signat¢d trust¢¢s of a charity-
Admtni$lrative Structure
It is th¢ duty of the Vestry to manage the temporal affairs of the congregation with r¢8ponsibility to
keep the fabric and propeity of the church and other buildings in good working ord¢r and to Ii)ok
after the finances of the ehurlh.
Statement of Risk
Thc Vestry keeps under review the major risks to which the Church is cxposed and has estsblished
procedures to mitiga1¢ any risks identified.
Chgritable Objectives and Activities
The Church's principal activities include publiL Wotship in sacrament and prayer, Christian
education, charitablc work and fund raising for local, national and international n¢¢ds, and social
meetiiigs of coinmunity groups of all ages.
Volunteers
The Vestry is grnt¢ful for the time frKly given by mcmbcrs of the Congregation in maintaining the
life and the work of th¢ Church. The Vestry extends particular ihanks to the Members of the
Ministry l¢ain. 'I'hc Vestry also wislics to record thanks to the retir¢d Pri¢sts in the con¥rcgation
for their assistance iii mainlaining regyular sa¢ramentsl worship.
'Ministry Team
Members of the Ministry Team are each licensed by the Bishop. Currently the Team comprises a
Retired Pries¢ a Non-stipendary PriesL a Lay Reader and two Lay Leaders.
Achievements and perforniance
The Cliurch continues to make its facilities available for use and provide5 worship for the whole
coinmunity.

cuffeni financial position of the Church at thai lime. This must be done to ensure ihat th¢ financial
