**Objectives:** The objects of the association are: (a) To assist all those suffer from asbestos related illness through practical support, and the provision of advice and information. (b)To advance the education of the members of the public generally, within West Dunbartonshire Council and it&#x27;s environs in particular concerning the dangers and hazards of Asbestos in the environment. and in furtherance thereof but not otherwise. (c) To assist all those suffering from asbestos related illnesses, to improve their living conditions and in general their quality of life. (d) To assist all those suffering from asbestos related illnesses in attempting to gain reparation. (e) To develop and support local organisations with similar objectives. (f) To bring together in conference and, work in liaison with representatives of voluntary organisations. government departments, local and other statutory authorities and individuals. (g) To employ all such officers and servants as may be required for the purposes of the association. (h) To provide, endow, furnish, and fit out with all necessary furniture and other equipment such buildings and other premises as may from time to time be required for the purpose of the association. (i) To accept subscriptions, donations and bequests of heritable and moveable property and sell and dispose of all necessary property so received and not required to be immediately applied to purposes of the association and generally to manage, invest and expand all monies belonging to the association. (j) To raise money for any of the above purposes and to grant securities over the property of the association in respect of any advances of money to the association. (k) To do all such other things as are either incidental or conductive to the attainment of either the above objects or any of them.
