Kilmartin Museum is set up to inspire and educate people by interpreting, explaining and conserving the internationally important archaeological artefacts, landscape and natural heritage of Kilmartin Glen. To fulfil this mission statement Kilmartin Museum operates a museum and education service and employs a professional curator to conserve the archaeological collections in the Museum's care and to develop Argyll's collection of archaeological arterfacts.

Objectives: 4 The company has been formed for the following objects: 4.1 to advance and promote education of the general public through the provision, maintenance and development of a museum related to the archaeological and natural heritage of Kilmartin Glen, Argyll and the surrounding area. and 4.2 to advance heritage and culture through: 4.2.1 the preservation of the archaeological and natural heritage of Kilmartin Glen, Argyll, and the surrounding area. and 4.2.2 the care, curation and development of Kilmartin Museum's collection of archaeological artefacts in accordance with approved policies relating to collections development.
