To stimulate and maintain interest in all aspects of the History, Development and Traditions of the Parish of West Kilbride. To preserve and build up the evidence by the Museum Collection, and make it accessible to the Public.
Objectives: The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the Collection in trust for the following purposes: (a) Payment by the Trustees of the expenses of establishing and administering the Trust hereby created. (b) The advancement of the education of the general public by the provision of a Museum and the provision in the Museum of the Collection in respect of which Collection there will be a strong presumption against subsequent disposal. (c) The protection of the Collection from deterioration, damage, loss, accidental destruction or unauthorised disposal.
