l. The 85 Greenock & District Scout GTOUP submits its report for the year ended 31 March
2026.
2. The Swut Group is constituted in t¢rn]s of th¢ Rules of The Scout Associatio￿ which is a
charitable body incoTtK)rated by Royal Charter. It is a registered Scottxsh Charity numbered
SC0022233.
The affaiTS of th¢ Scout Group aT¢ rnanag￿ by the Trustee Board whose members are ex-officio or
are appointed or elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Scout Group.

Since the introduction of our Squirrel Drey in early 2024, there has been a slow and steady
increase in Section numbers. Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards have been present￿ in the
Beaver, Cubs and Scout Sections. Members continue to work towards their Duke of
Edinburgh Award and King Scout Award.
Throughout the year. our membets have continued to embrace adventure, teamwork and
community Spirit. All members a¢tively enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities that challenge
them. From exciting powerboat sessions that build confidence and water safety skills. to hikes
that encourage resilience and navigatiOEL Our Section progrdmrnes offer something for
everyone.
Our members are enjoying their Scouting. Outdoor and nights away experiences have been
enjoyed by all in Scotland and a residential experience abroad with our Scout Troop in Ireland.
Scout Troop is due to attend the upcoming Satellite CamplBlair Atholl Patrol Jamborette
in July ofthis year with Scouts from all over the world. Our Cub pack has attenda a sleepover
at the Glasgow Science Centre as part of their Space Badge and due t() attend a sleepover at
the Loch Lomond Sea Life Centrc as part of the Environn]ent (Conservation) Badge. The
Beaver and Squirrel Sections are also planning outdoor events and the Group as a whole have
our Annual Group Camp at the end of May to look forward to.
Our members have also dernonstrata a commitment to serving the community. They have
proudly participated once again in local community events, supported fundraising initiatives
througb bag packing and represented our Group and local village(s) with respect and pride at
the amiual Remembrance Parade, clearly retnforcing the Core values of Scouting.

Our goal is to continue to create a scouting envtronment that is safe, inclusive and adaptable

to whatever the future may bring and encouraging our young people to be a part of a growing
scouting community. This teaches our young peopl¢ skills for life. pr¢5ents social interaction
and a sense of belongin&
The financial health of the 85 Scout Group remains stable. We have managed our resources
well ensuring growth and arc able to offer continued support for Section programrnes without
the r¢quir¢m¢nt to incr¢ase our annual capitation fe
