The financial health of the 85 Greenock & District Scout Group remains stable. We have
managed our resources well ensuring growth and are able to offer continued support for Section
programmes.

Although Section numbers have been steady. our Squirrel Section has increased to the extent
that we are now running a waiting list. Squirrels have already started moving into our Beaver
Sectionls) which allowed other members of our Beaver and Cub Section(s) to move within the
Group increasing Section numbers.
Our Scout Section is planning their Summer Camp to Ireland wlth the Cubs planning their
Summer Camp to Fordell Firs. The Cubs have also been successful in securing a place at The
Howling in Dunfermline in September of this year. Our younger Sections are currently planning
their events.
In relation to Community engagement, we have supported Kipfest, the Wemyss Bay Gala.
Ardgowan Football Club and the Litter Picking Groups for both Inverkip and Wemyss Bay. We also
continue to le8d the Inverkip Village Remembrance Day Service and Parade.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our membership by introducing a recruitment scheme for both
members and volunteers. We are applying for grants and undertaking fundraising with a view to
enhancing our equipment which also helps to d8veLop programmes to support our young
