We run an affordable, quality out of school care provision which promotes learning and skills through play. We help children gain skills which promote confidence and lifelong learning. We also run an affordable, quality crèche provision, which provides childcare to under 5s. We work with local groups and provide creche facilities in a venue of their choice, enabling parent’s / guardians to attend classes.

Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people'

Objectives: The purposes of the group are: (a) To promote the welfare, further the health and advance the education of pre-school children and children of school age in Govanhill and its environs through: (i) Either the provision, or the assistance in the provision, of child care facilities for pre-school and school age children out-of-school hours. (ii) Either the provision, or the assistance in the provision, of information and advice services concerning child care facilities. and (iii) The provision, or the assistance in the provision, of improvements in security and safety in relation to play area. (b) To advance the education of families in Govanhill and its environs through either the provision, or the assistance in the provision, of information and advice which would improve their access to local employment, education and training opportunities. (c) To promote the welfare of the inhabitants of Govanhill and its environs through the taking of any necessary legal means to increase the safety of the said inhabitants.
