**What the charity does:** The core purpose of Motherwell and District Women’s Aid is help prevent violence against women and girls, and to reduce the negative impacts of domestic abuse through the provision of specialist support to at risk women and children. We also undertake prevention work to build knowledge and skills of individuals, which supports a shift in the structural, cultural and societal contexts in which violence occurs. Our core services include: • Prevention work, including school sessions, awareness raising with community groups and organisations, training for (and influencing the policy and practice of) other agencies, campaigns and social media promotions •
