Objectives: 2. The objects of the Society shall be: 2.1 To advance the education of the general public concerning the music, literature, poetry, art and culture of the Highlands and Islands and other areas of Scotland. 2.2 To make either grants or donations to either individuals or organisations for educational purposes in furtherance of the foregoing object. 2.3 To accept membership of or affiliation with either organisations or companies whose objects are compatible with those of the Society. 2.4 To promote interest and participation in the music, literature, poetry, art and culture not only of the Highlands and Islands but also of other areas of Scotland. 2.5 To carry out any legal activities in any location in furtherance of the foregoing objects.
