Edgerston Village Hall Charity Number: SC022067 Independent Examiner's Report on the Accounts th Year ended 30 September 2025 The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the ternis of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Swtland) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The Charity Truste¢s consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(l} of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under Section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. My examination is carried out in accordanc¢ with Regulation 11 of th¢ Charities Accounts(Scotland) Regulations 2006 (the 2006 Accounls Tegulations) and the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. In th¢ course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention l. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: .to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of th¢ 2005 Act. Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts ReguIations (as amended) and Section 130 of the Charities Act 2011. .to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with R¢gulation 8 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations (as amended) and the requirements concerning the forn) and content of accounts as set out in the Charities(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 of the Charities Act 2011 Have not been met, or 2. To which. kn my opinion, attention should be dramn in order to enable a proper und¢rstanding of the accounts to be reached. Signed:. Cgtrionyd Pearson FCCA 463-465 High Stree( Lincoln, LN5 8JB

EDGERSTON VILLAGE HALL Re818tered Charlty No. SCO z 2024-2025 ANNUAL REPORT As secretary of the Village Hall, I write this annual report on behalf of the trustees and working committee. The village hall is owned and run by the committee and we are grateful for the local support that we have, small in number. We are in a privileged position of owning our hall and we hold our own with regards to income and outgoin8 expenses. The village hall use has declined in use this year, fewer rentals and only a small group of people attending the few events run bythe committee. It would be lovelyto engage with more new people who have come into the area and get their support. In comparison with other village halls who seem to have very active committees and more events taking shape we are lacking behind in up-to-date events and enthusiasm. There is an element of up8rades required in the hall. technology based and renovation, which would perhaps encourage user groups. These are still to be addressed, but the committee withhold spending money when the hall is underused as per last years report. We reported our aim to review an energy saving survey which had been carried but the secretary has been unable to commit to this project- ongoing. Our Trustees for Edgerston village hall include Mr Hans de Gier the owner of Edgerston Estate. Mr Graham Wylie and Mr Nichol Renwick. We currently have a committee of comprising of a chairman, secretary treasurer and 5 general committee members.
