The Turriff aThJ D4Strict Junfjor A8rKuttural Club Is an unincorporated tharity. A$ 8o¥erned by our
constitution, the club provides art*vities, which further personal developmenl cultural education
and trainin8 of youn8 people to make rural life rnore attractNe to the young rnembets of the
communlty.
No charitable purposes are outlined wiihtn the constitution,. therefore, It Is under the committee'5
di5cretlon what the ¢haritable purpose the club shall ￿ld withSn the year. However. Turriff and
Distrlrt IAC are always wl111￿ to gfve b•[* to the local communfriy aryl tharitable don•tlons of
money and time are alway5 considered.
Members of the commlttet do not need to fetlre 4nnu•lty. Any office bearer can hold a position for
as lon8 as they would like to. as long as the maiorityof members 48iee. Anyone who does retlre
from their p051tion can 80 for any other posit￿n if tly wish. If the Club Leader, President, Chairman
or Secretary retire and does not get re-dected as another posIt￿n, tly will become ex-officlo
mernbers. Any member shall be eI￿lts1¢ forelection of office bea￿1$*￿1 members of the
commlttee.
Turriff and Oi51rict JAC hold fortnightty dub meetirqs throughout the summer and winter months
with è break during the summer and four (ommittee meetings throughgut the year. Working well
together to encour•ge mernbers of all ages to partKipate and athieve suttess within the club. The
club's Syllabuses ¥re always varied and interesting wrth something to cater tor e¥eryone'stsstes.

Durin8 2020121 the club was forced to suspend all fa￿t0-fa￿ meetiw due to the worldwide
lobal pandemic, COVIO-19. We were still zble to hold meeti￿5 Virtualty for our member5 though
and turned to technology which allowed us to hold meetings via zoom where we as a club we held
bln89 nights, $C￿￿eT hunts. quiz nl8hts and %>cial evening5 where we were ab￿ to catch up with
our members. To keep our social media pages active, our members submitted photograph5 of what
they had been up to duri￿ lockdown and what was keepIr￿ them bw and to keep the spirit of
your¥ farrnèr58oin&
Turrtff and District JuniorAgri¢ultural Club showed t￿1r appreCiat￿n to those atTurriff Cottage
Hospital and Turriff Medicèl Practice for their hard work thrO￿ut the pandemic by deliverin8
home bakes and a thank you card.

Our members got creative wth the loo roll thalFenge. that was orculating the young farmers bubb
and it is fairto say we all had Éreat fun. Two of our members took part in ForfarJACS Bake Off
Competition and did eXtrerne￿ well with Aimee Mar8rove corni￿ l in the senlor section and
Jasmin Strachan u)mI￿ 3. In the junior section.
Turriff and District JAC held a photography comWition which was open to the publtc and othef
youn8 farmers and we were happy to see a total of 30 entries with a local photographer ha¥in8 the
hard frob of judging these. Members 8Ot there stockludg1￿ brzins on and took part in the l# leg of
the Harbro Cup whtth was dore wrtually aThl it was great to see so many Mémbers t•kln8 part.
Penny and Murray Step￿n represented club in the virtual highland show cook off. They cooked
up a storrn in the kitchen creating a Pork Curry wbth plain rice dish and a Puff Pastry Apple pudding
wlth a cider sauce. It was then up to the facebook viewer5 to Choose their fa¥ourite dish. The votes
were in and Turyiff were crowned the winnefs aeaiArt East Fife JAC.
Thls year wt submltted our prornoti￿ Scottish agricdturevNleo into fam management
competition and were so ￿ppY to find outthat we were the winner of the comWitK>n.
At the end of a very dlfferent summer sylhbvs some of our members a5sbsted at Auchtede5S
PlavBroup with building 5hel¥es, units and tables pr*yto the ￿ly(rOUpS rrturn after the holiday5.
The st4rt of our wlnter pmgramrne seen the dub F)UllI￿ ide•s tO8ether to come up wlth our B•le Art
theme, in which we recreated the filrn Babe 05 it was ihe 25 anni¥er5ary, st was great to see
membets gettln8 Invofved. We held our firs1 ta￿ to fxe stockjud8in8 meetin6 of the year, and our
members were excited to be allowed to have a meetiry 48ain and everyone adhered to the
guidelines arKI restrirtions. One Sunday, our mtmbers took • weekend stroll up Bennachie, explor6ng
the country view5 on our doofstep. Our member, Calty Harper excelled In Chrlstmas Classl¢
Competition comin8 Out on top a5the Champion of young farmer sectkni. We he￿ our annual
ploughi￿ rnatth ttIM￿tIOn, and it was fantastic to see a bfllllant turnout of our members 8ettln8
involved. IYS been Breat to See our member$8etting involved in the r￿rth re8bn tt*untry cook5
competlthin and the north re8lon plK*tO8raphy competltion thwhout a very 5tran8e year.
