CARLUKE & DISTRICT YOUNG FARMERS CLUB TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (continued) YEAR ENDED 1 MARCH 2025 REVIEW OF THE YEAR This was another successful and busy year for Carluke Young Farniers, with a promising influx of new members, particularly juniors. The club hosted events throughout the year including. sporting events, tug of war, new member nights, car treasure hunts and many more. We held another great UV paint party dance, dinner dance and Christmas dance this year - we hope this continues to be such a big success in future years. It was fantastic to see a great range of social events in the club calendar. We had selected The Haven as our charity to support this year. We held a charity mud run, quiz night and coffee morning all in aid of our chosen charity - The Haven. All of these events were very well supported. We were welcomed back to Lanark Memorial Concert Hall for our annual variety concert which was a great hit with just under 50 members taking to the stage. The club continues with an excellent rate of attendance at Lanarkshire, West and National events - a big thanks must go to all our members for their support and engagement throughout the year The number of Affiliated Members for 2024/25 was as follows:_ Membership Senior New senior Junior New junior Total 2024125 35 2023124 64 23 13 18 100 70 FUTURE DEVELOPMENT The club shall continue to organise activities which meet the objectives of the club. CARLUKE & DISTRICT YOUNG FARMERS CLUB INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES ON THE UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF CARLUKE & DISTRICT YOUNG FARMERS CLUB YEAR ENDED 1 MARCH 2025 I report on the financial statements for the year ended 1st March 2025, which comprise the statement of financial activities, statement of financial position and the related notes. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (a) to (c) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity's members as a body, for my work, for this report, or for the opinions I have formed. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner's statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 8 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
