Governing Document

Stirling, Strathendrick and Strathkelvin Young Farmers Club is an unincorporated charity. As governed by our constitution, the club provides activities, which further personal development, cultural education and training of young people to make rural life more attractive to the young members of the community.

Charitable Purposes

Our Function shall be to promote the educational and social interests of all persons interested in Agricultural and Rural Activities, with a view to creating a greater interest in Country life, efficiency in agriculture in all branches and a better realisation of the duties and responsibilities of citizenship.

Trustee Recruitment and Appointment

Stirling, Strathendrick and Strathkelvin Young Farmers Club recruits their trustees through the promotion of club activities throughout our year, this is done through communication with new and young members and continued conversations about joining our committee and becoming more involved in the running of the club. We also collaborate with other local organisations and charities to increase the opportunities for young people in the rural community.

Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects

To meet our objectives we routinely work towards becoming more associated with our local community by advertising club events on social media to encourage new members, holding events such as new members nights to encouraging new members to find out about young farmers. We also encourage growth and development of our members by competing in District, Region and National events.
