Dunfermline Advocacy works to recruit, train and match local volunteers with vulnerable adults in West Fife who are affected by physical disability, autism, learning disability, dementia, mental illness and/or chronic illness who: • Are unable to safeguard their own well-being, rights, care or other interests • Require support through a trusting relationship (friendship) to be able to have their voice heard • Are isolated and lack their own effective and/or independent support networks Our mission is that through Citizen Advocacy vulnerable people’s voices are heard, protecting and safeguarding their rights while building sustainable friendships, networks and links in the communities of West Fife- Friendship Changing Lives.

Objectives: The Aims of Dunfermline Advocacy shall be to promote the benefit of vulnerable people in West Fife (and elsewhere across Scotland if deemed appropriate) who are affected by disability chronic illness dementia or mental disorder (including mental illness learning disability or personality disorder) in a manner which is now or may hereafter be deemed by law to be charitable
