The Trust was set up to: (i) to preserve for the benefit of the public at large - whatever of the architectural, historic and constructional heritage as may exist in Great Britain in the form of buildings of particular beauty or architectural, historic or constructional interest, or ancient monuments, and in particular the former Catholic Apostolic Church in Mansfield Place, Edinburgh. now known as Mansfield Place Centre (MTC) - the artistic works of Phoebe Traquair, in particular her mural paintings situated in the MTC. (ii) to promote and further the study of the architectural, historic and constructional heritage, mural paintings, and generally the artistic achievement of Phoebe Traquair, and to make the information obtained available to the general public. The Trust ensures the fabric of the MTC is kept in good condition and promotes it, its murals and Phoebe Traquair’s work via a number of platforms and public access via the help of the Friends of Mansfield Traquair Centre.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: The objects for which the Trust is established are: (i) to preserve for the benefit of the public at large - whatever of the architectural, historic and constructional heritage as may exist in Great Britain in the form of buildings of particular beauty or architectural, historic or constructional interest, or ancient monuments, and in particular the former Catholic Apostolic Church in Mansfield Place, Edinburgh (now known as Mansfield Place Church) - the artistic works of Phoebe Traquair, in particular her mural paintings situated in the said Mansfield Place Church. (ii) to promote and further the study of the said architectural, historic and constructional heritage, the said mural paintings, and generally Phoebe Traquair's artistic achievement, and to make the information obtained available to the general public.
