Penicuik and District YMCA/YWCA (Penicuik Y) was established in 1969 and was the first community centre in Penicuik. We are a Scottish Charity providing community-based support for children, young people, and their families. Our centre is a dedicated youth community hub integrating services. Our vision is to empower and support young people and members of our community to reach their full potential. We aim to support the hardest to reach and disengaged young people within our community. We focus our support on: • Children and young people being socially connected in the community. • Children and young people are mentally and emotionally healthy. • Children and young people have positive relationships. • Being a dedicated youth community hub for integrated services.

Objectives: The Association's charitable purposes (the expression 'charitable purpose' shall mean a charitable purpose under section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 which is also regarded as a charitable purpose in relation to the application of the Taxes Acts) are (and shall not be altered without the prior consent of the Scottish Charity Regulator): 3.1 to advance the Christian religion
