Objectives: The objects of the Committee shall be in the interests of social welfare, education and recreation to promote and develop within the Western Isles Islands Area the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award as a means to enable young people aged 14 to 25 to grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and to assist in improving their conditions of life.
