1.1. Fund Aecounting
Funds <iri classilicd as either Restricted Funds or Unrcstrictcd Fund& defined as follows:
Rc5tricted Funds are funds subjecl Io specific requirements as to Iheir use which Inay be dcclared by
the donor or with their authority or created by the legal pro¢esse& but still within ihe wider objects of

Unrestriclcd Funds are expendable at the discretion of the Trustees in futherance of the objects of the
charity. If parts of the Unrestrict¢d Funds are earmarked at Ihe discrclion of ihe Trusiees for a
particular purpose, they are designated as a separaie fund. This designation has an adinini5trative
purpose only and does noi legally restrici the Tru5tees' discretion to apply the fund.

The church land is slated at the Trustee￿ estimale of market value. No depreciation is charged on the
land.
The chuich building is Stated at cost. Following ils completion duiins. 2003, depreeiation has been
provided on the church building al the annual rale of 2 /0. slraight line. During 2013. a review of the
mark'et value of ihe church building ivas undertaken and il was found to be considerably less thon the
carrying value in the financial 5talemeni& This resultcd in an impairment charge in the financial
slateinents. Froni 2014. depreciation has been provided ai Ihe annual rate of 20/0 of the market value at
December 2013 less any disposals. The church manse and flat are also being deprccialed ai 2 /0 per
aniium.
