**What the charity does:** SBT encourages understanding and enjoyment of the double bass providing opportunities to develop skills and perform in public at any age and stage. We promote d/bass music and commission new works, and encourage appreciation of its literature.

**Objectives:** The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund on trust for the following Objects, videlicet:- To promote the advancement of educational training in the performance and understanding of the double bass by providing opportunities for all musicians to develop their skills. to promote public performance and public appreciation of works for the double bass, whether in or outwith the standard repertoire. to promote the composition of new works for players of the double bass. to provide opportunity for all double bass players to perform publicly. and all of which failing, for music education purposes generally in Scotland.
