**What the charity does:** Our prime aim is to establish a reconstructive surgery and burns service in West Africa, through the training and empowerment of local doctors, anaesthetists, nurses and physiotherapists.  Our legacy is permanent self-sustaining change to the predicament of the lack of local skills. Many Africans, young and old, suffer from disability caused by birth anomalies, accidents, burns, diseases, and more. Reconstructive surgery can offer hope and healing. In Ghana, a successful training hub for reconstructive surgery and burns has been established now training reconstructive surgeons from all over Africa. In Sierra Leone the country's first reconstructive, burns and hand surgery unit is about to open due to our work in partnership with local and international agencies.
