The Waterside & Moscow Community Association, (WMCA) works hard to bring all people across both villages and outlying dwellings together through organising social events and community-benefit activities. Some examples of these but not exclusive to are. litter-picks, summer BBQ, seasonal celebrations and projects which maintain or improve local amenities. We carry the aim of encouraging a supportive community spirit and a sense of belonging. Promotion is actioned via email, newsletters, word of mouth and social media. While participants are given an opportunity to donate funds to support community activities, the Association actively tries to foster inclusivity by asking no or little charge for its events. The Waterside and Moscow Community Association is run entirely by local volunteers and always welcomes suggestions for future events. We actively seek funding to allow us to continue our mission.

Objectives: The aims and objectives of the Association shall be: i) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a COImal effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, fbr recreation and for leisure time occupation. ii) to co-operate with the local statutory authority in the, maintenance and management of a Conmunity Centre where this exists for activities promoted by the Association in furtherance of the arove obj ects. iii) to foster a community spirit for the achievment of these and other such objects as may by, law be deerred to be charitable. b) The Associaticn shall be non-party in politics and non-secretarian in religion. The Association will automatically be a member of the local Federation of 'Community Association. c)The Association shall have power to affiliate to the National , Federation of Community Organisations.
