Connecting Carers aim is to ensure unpaid Carers in Highland are not caring alone, are acknowledged, supported and have access to the right services and information they need to enable them to carry out their caring role. We remain the only Highland-wide service solely dedicated to Carers’ wellbeing, powered by invaluable input from our community. We continue to be committed to raising awareness of the rights of unpaid Carers through our services by supporting all aspects of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. We are commissioned to support Adult Carers to complete their Adult Carer Support Plan, provide information, advice, and guidance, provide counselling and deliver events and training on behalf of NHS Highland. Our work with Young Carers in Inverness, Nairn and Ross-shire is funded by the Highland Council and in Lochaber, Badenoch & Strathspey this work is funded by the Big Lottery Young Start programme and the Robertson Trust.
