We aim to provide a welcoming parent / carer and child playgroup for children from 0 to 5 years old from Roslin and the surrounding area. The group runs once a week during school term time and is run entirely by parent / carer volunteers. The group has a range of toys for children to play with, a craft activity and drinks and snacks for children and adults. The group has a suggested fee for a family attending the group, but it is not necessary to pay this to attend the group, to ensure that the group is open to all.
Objectives: To provide in the interests of social welfare a good enviroment for babies and children up to the ages of five by providing mothers of such children with a means of alleviation of stress by mutual support where such support is not readily available from within the community and by providing play facilities for the children in which the mothers can participate as will improve the physical and intellectual developement of the children and strenghten the relationship between mother and child, and generally to act in accordance with and in furtherance of the aims of the Scottish Pre-School Play Association.
