Beeslack Family Club has supported early intervention activities/social welfare since 1985, on a Sunday in term time, for people with Additional Support Needs (ASN), and their families, in a fun, secure environment. Activities we offer include Cooking classes, Arts and Crafts, Woodwork, Gardening, Swimming and Cycling Membership is open to individuals with various ASNs, due to learning, physical (including sensory impairment, brain injury, stroke and neurological disorders), and/or social disabilities (including Autistic Spectrum Disorder), and their immediate family. There is no age restriction. The activities we have on offer aim to improve Mental/Health & Wellbeing, through a range of physical, creative, and emotional opportunities, sharing successes and laughing together, working collectively as a team/family.

Objectives: The aims and objectives of the Club are: a) to promote social welfare b) to encourage the involvement and participation of the whole family c) to support members, and provide greater support between families d) to promote educational and recreational opportunities e) to encourage the independence of individuals with additional support needs f) to promote physical activity, health and wellbeing g) to encourage activities which lead to skill acquisition h) to encourage membership and participation throughout the community
