**What the charity does:** MACPool is a social enterprise, owned and operated by MACEL. It aims to- Enable the community of Mid Argyll and Tarbert to swim and take part in exercise, leisure and social activities in support of health and well-being. Advance education through provision of training in swimming, life-saving and resuscitation. Support children and adults suffering from a mental and/or physical disability or impairment through the provision of therapy within a swimming pool environment. Arrange and promote classes for swimming and life-saving in schools, colleges etc. Provide in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time activity within the Mid Argyll area with a view to improving health and wellbeing. Promote tourism, industry and commerce within Mid Argyll for the benefit of the community. Mid Argyll Enterprises Limited manages the MACPool Activity Hub its buildings and the next door building which is rented out to a nursery school
