The Trust was set up to further the cause of Christian Unity by providing a roman Catholic presence on Iona, but also to allow visitors of all faiths to come to Iona for a short stay to experience peace and quiet. The House of Prayer is also now an integral part of the community on the the island of Iona, working for the well-being of the whole island.
