Appointment of Trustees

All of the Councils trustees are appointed or reappointed by the members at our annual general meeting in November each year.

Governing document

The Council is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose purpose and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution.

Charitable purposes

In summary, our purposes as recorded in our constitution (as amended on 7 February 2008) include the provision of facilities for social welfare, recreation and education for the villagers of Craigellachie and to administer the funds and properties formerly belonging to the Craigellachie Community Association, the Craigellachie Public Hall Council and the Craigellachie Playing Fields Association.

Trustee remuneration and expenses.

Expenses are reimbursed on receipt of appropriate documentation. There is no trustee remuneration.

Reserves

The 2025 accounts show a deficit of E14,383 due to significant planned expenditure on capital items and repairs, including electrical upgrades to both the Hall and tennis pavilion, repairs to Hall roof and boiler pipework plus a new Shed, planters and park benches. Retained funds now total £77,425.

We are pleased to report that Hall use is very healthy due to the continued use by the local primary school and an active play group.

Approved by the trustees and signed on their behalf S= Z= os
