Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of During the year a surplus has been recorded of £14,121 refiecting the

year. The Charity has also benefited in Ihe year from generous
Donations, the return of fvnd-ralsing events and the Grft-Aid claims for
prior years having been received.
The successful recommencement of fund-raising events at the Scout
Centr8 in November 2024 was well attended by members and farnilles but
also members from the local community.
Continued Improvement program for the upgrade of lh8 Scout Centr8 has
commenced, wllh focus on immediate repalrs and assessment of the
eleclrical circuits and healing systems. The essential malntenance and
refurblshment of Scout Centre Is paramount to th8 activities of the Charity
A Safe Scouting Premises Audll and Rl8k Management Reg18ter was Set
up followlng the guidelines issued by The Scoul A8soclatlon.
Young people gainlng Chlef Scout's Awards and Duke of Edlnburgh
Awards. All sectlons of the Charily returned to a full schedule of events
durfng 2025 with all attendlng outdoor camps.
The number of young people attending 8118ectlons ha8 increased during
this year with a waltlng Ilst In place for all sectlons. The Commlttee and
Sectlons continue to look for new volunteers to contlnue the success of
th8 Charity.
Financial review

bank Including £2,611 held by the Beaver Sections,- £5,848 held by the

Ongolng development, malntenance and repalrs of the Scout Centre Can
be slgniflcanl, and the Trustees have declded to hold a Reserve Fund of
£25.000, now classlfied as a Restricted Fund, on a 95 day notlce wlth the
bank. The Trustees wlll review the amount held annually but consider this
to be approprlat8 to meet signiflcant financ[81 repalrs to the property such
as..
la) maintenance and repalr of part of the roof of the bulldlng which Is ftat,.
b) Electrical Installation and Condition Report (EICRI mandatory tesllng
and In8P6Ction of circuit boards, wlring and electrical a￿e$sOrIes. work8
have commenced but will continue through 2025.
The reserves policy rnaintained is compliant with the guidelines provided
in the Charities Accounts (Scolland) Regulations 2006 (as emended).
The Trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses from the
Charity durlng the year and arè not pald any expenses for atlendance at
meetings.
The reimbursement of expenses is restricted to receipted expendlture

The Scout Group, established In 1909 and part of Scouts Scolland, ig a voluntary unrformed youth Ofganisation. The
Group has been tsvinned with a NoNiegian Sea Scout Group. near Stavaroer since 1977 and Sin￿ 2015 has
partnership agieement¥ wllh 3 schools in Gomel, Belarus. Stavangw and Gfjnel are 2 of Aberdeen's twlnned citi88.
A8 at 31 January 2026. the member8hip of tho Group wa8 207 youth members and 49 adult volunteers. in 2 Boaver
Scout Colonies. 3 Cub Scout Paeks; and I Scout Troop. A waiting list axists for th08e of a￿ to Join thé appropriate
sections. this currently sits at 19 for Squirrels. 86 for B82vers, 16 wating to join Cubs and no currenty wilting lo join
Scouts. Th6 Trustees have reviewed and are supportive of extending the Charity activities lo include th8
commencement of a Squlrrel Cobny in 2026.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 M￿ch 2025 which are set out on pages xx to xx.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the arxounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities
and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities
AcGounts (Scotland) Re9Jlations 2006 {a8 amended). The charity trustees consider that the audil requirement of
Regulation 10(11 (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulation6 dogs not apply. It is my responsibility lo examina the accounts
