**What the charity does:** Our Charity is set up for the promotion of health and the promotion of education. In the past we have raised money by hosting academic meetings or running courses for medical, nursing and AHP staff. This has then been used to provide training or equipment. Examples of the training we have helped fund include the ability to deliver intravenous iron therapy to treat anaemia for patients who need urgent cancer surgery. This minimises delays for patients and reduces the need for blood transfusions. We have also helped with the purchase of equipment for training resuscitation teams. At present, as is detailed in the trustees report our activities have been curtailed by difficulties with banking.
