## **NAIRN ARTS SOCIETY A.G.M. 24[TH] MARCH, 2026**

## **WORKSHOP REPORT**

There have been 11 workshops held over the last year covering a range of subjects. We are very fortunate in the selection of tutors who are prepared to carry out workshops here. The four people concerned are all professionals and are well known artists themselves.

As far as is possible, I take account of items that interest society members. The tutors are very willing to run workshops based on that interest. Attendance at workshops this year was a bit lower than last, perhaps because some workshops were running concurrent with other local events of interest.

The same approach is in effect this year, where workshops will be run as far as is possible with the interest of members taken into consideration.

So far, six workshops have been planned for the first half of the year, the first two having taken place already. The list for this period is as below:

January – Painting a winter landscape February – Mixed media March – Painting an abstract of a lion’s or elephant’s head April – Copying a masterpiece May- Line and Wash June – Painting a picture with ink and bleach

Workshops for the remaining months of this year are still to be arranged.

To ensure that we pay a decent rate to our tutors, the price of the workshops is £35 per day. This price will continue for the remainder of this year.

If you have any suggestions for topics for workshops, please let me know. I am always willing to consider ideas from other members.
