Fèis nan Garbh Chrìochan was established in 1991 to provide traditional music and Gaelic opportunities for young people in Ardnamurchan, Sunart and Morvern. The Fèis delivers lessons during the school term to children in Lochaline, Ardgour, Strontian, Acharacle and Kilchoan. Each summer, during July, a week-long summer Fèis is run where residential and day attendees receive music tuition, and take part in a range of Gaelic activities including song, drama, film-making, dance and shinty.
Objectives: The objects of Ule Feis shall be:- a)To promote interest, education, and participation in Gaelic arts, music and language in the Lochaber Area, b)To plan, programrme and present an Annual Festival structured to highlight the Gaelic language and the cultural, artistic and eclucational objectives of the Feis. c)to plan, programme and arrange activities on its own initiative or with other local musical, artistic and educational societies and organisations. d)To do all other acts as are incidental to the attainment of the objects.
