EIFA is Scotland’s oldest interfaith association. We were set up to promote positive dialogue between people of all faiths and none to encourage understanding , respect, and appreciation. We achieve this through numerous educational, social, and fraternal programmes conducted throughout the City of Edinburgh. These programmes include our monthly Faith Road Shows in Primary and Secondary Schools, our annual Uniting for Peace and Friendship programme, the annual Peace Walk to local places of worship, the Fringe Care Fest in local Care homes, and many other diverse and valuable programmes. All of this is achieved with own full time staff, one part time, and a loyal legion of dedicated volunteers

Objectives: 5. The charitable purposes for which EIFA is established are :- i. The promotion and advancement of interfaith dialogue and education ii. The promotion of religious and racial harmony iii. the promotion of equality and diversity iv. the advancement of citizenship or community development. v. the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities. The vision of EIFA is to work with peoples of all faith and none to create a more respectful, peaceful and equal world where everyone’s human rights are respected and in order to achieve this, EIFA aims to bring faith communities together, promote understanding, trust and positive action, in building religious and racial harmony and to offer EIFA’s expertise as a resource for all.
