CongregationAI history Following thc Disruption of1843 u congregation was organised in Partick which was a village of3,000 people at that time. Its first minister, Harry Anderson was inducted in 1844 and r¢main¢d with the same presenter for over 50 years. He opposed the D¢claratory Act yet most of the people joincd the UF Church. The remnant, faithful to the Free Church, began meeting in 1905 and built the Church in 1910. P&ge I

The Kirk Session. being the minister and elected elders, has responsibility for spiritual oversigh( while the Deacons. Court, e4)mpos¢d of Kirk S¢ssion members plus elected dcacons, ov¢rs¢es finan¢ial and property mAtters. Under Charity Law, thc Dcacons, Court is dccmcd to bc th¢ trusl¢es of the congregation as those with sponsibility for day-to-day managemeni and control. This is distinct from the role of property (congregational) trustets who are responsible only for holding property in trust. Its aims and objectives as well as its day-to-day operations. The congregation continued its commitment to support the National Free Church of Scotland boih spiritually and financially. Significant highlights. events and developmcnts in th¢ ye8r inLlude the following- In relation to eongregAtlon&l actlvities.. Special collections were taken every two months to raise funds for Mission Support. These funds were distributed to various Christian groups during the year. This ¢losed at the end of 2022. The property known as 27 Crow Road 15 now being leased to Resilience PPE as of 7, January 2021 on a two -year leas¢ agreement. The ani)ual rent for the property is £1 OK. By mutual consent frotn ihe 24 Oeiober 2021 the congregaiions of Partick Free Church (PFC) and Glasgow City Free Church (GCFC) agreed to share the PFC church premises for ihe purposes of worship. Both Temain separdte entities. 'I'his arrangement continued in 2023. In rel&tion to eongrLyational funding.. Free will offering by cnvclopc and plate showed a slight decrease from 2022. In 2023 £2.5k was spent in tnaintaining the church property to comply with health and safety compliance along with rouline repairs. Future plans The congregations of both Partick Free Church and Glasgow City Free Church have now amalgamated as of March 2023. The new congregation's name is Crow Road Frec Church. This amalgamation was rniified by The free Church of Scotland and by thc Frec Church of Scotland p$b>¢cry of Glas8ow llnd Argyll. As a result of this uiiion In18amatIOn Partick Fr¢e Cl)urch will ¢¢as¢ lo be a registered charity with OSCR frvTn 31. March 2024. All liabililies and assets uf PartiLk Free Church will then be transferred to the new ngregation of Crow Road Free Church by that date. The Receipt$ and Payments Acwunt on page 5 reflects a sutplus of £15,198 (2022: deficit of £20,359). Totsl reservcs, including balances on restricted funds amounted lo £232.791 {2022: £217,593). Reserves li is the policy of the congreg&tion to maintain unrestricted funds al a level which equaies to approximately three months unrestricted expenditure. This allow% .qufficient funds to enahle the ongoing work of the church to be maintained. The General fund on page 6 at 31 December 2023 amounted to £231,261 (2022.. £216.063) and was above the required level. Pa8c 3
