Strurturep governance and management
The charlty was founded in 1883. It has been a registered charity since 1906. The charity Is Constitut￿ by
declaration of the Committee Members (who are deemed to be Trustees) and adopted by them on l April
2001.
The management committee shall Consist of a maximum of nlne trustees Clf whom one third shall rèdre
annually. though they will be eligible lor reelection. The mana8Èment committee shall have the power to
appolnt sub-committees. The management committee shall elect a Chairperson, an Honorary Secretary and an
Honorary Treasurer annually and appoint an external examiner of the accounls and such other officials as may
be deemed necessary.
Trustees shall be recrulted and appolnted by the mana8ement committee.
Objectives and activltles
The objective of the Trust is broadly to asslst Children in need in The Lothlans In any manner the Committee
Members deem appropriate.
They make bequests to charitable organisation5 in Lothian and to requésts from individuals vla professlonals in:
healthcare,. education- and social services. where the empha$15 Is on assi5tin8 disadvantaged children.
Achlevements and performance
In the year to 30 September 2025 the charity dispensed £4,646 in 8rantS to aid chlldren and organisations
working with thlldren in the Lothians

The total value ofthe Trust's funds held at 30 September 2025 on investment and on deposit 15 E2(￿,204(2024

I report on the financial statements of the tharity for the year ended 30 September 2025, which are set out on
pages 3 to 6.

Thè charity's trustees are rèsponsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan￿ with the terms of the
hariknes and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl 2005 Act and the Charifjes Accounts (Scotlandl Regulatlons 2Crf)6.
The charity trustees consider that the audlt requirement of Regylafjon 10111 Idl of the kcounts Regulattons
does not apply. It is my respon5ibillty to e￿rnI￿e the accounts as required under sethon 44111 Icl of the Aci
and to state whether particular matters have Come to my attenfjon.
Basis of the Independent Examiner's Statement
My examination 15 carried out in accordan￿ with Regulalion 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl
Regula￿ons 2006. An examinatlon Includes a review of the accountin8 records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items
or disclosures In the accounts and seeks explanatlons from the trustees concerning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be rÈqulred in an audit and, consequently, I
do not express and audit opinion on the accounts.

whlch glves me reasonable cause to belleve that In any material respect the requirements..
